Anna received her medical degree from the University of Calgary. She completed her residency in Rural Family Medicine, additional residency training in Palliative Medicine, and a Master of Public Health degree with a specialization in Global Health through the University of Alberta. She also has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene from The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. Anna practiced full scope rural family medicine before shifting her focus towards palliative care. Her interests include palliative care in the context of humanitarian crises as well as low-resource and underserved settings. She worked primarily as a palliative care physician with the Edmonton Zone Palliative Care Program in Edmonton, Alberta and has also participated in humanitarian responses to natural disasters, conflict, forced displacement, and disease outbreaks.
